Top Three simple ways to help lower your blood pressure naturally

If you’re reading this article you are probably dealing with high blood pressure or the stress that comes with everyday life. These are just a few simple ways to help you get started, and all you have to do in most cases are little changes. You don’t need to change your entire daily routine, but I bet once you get started with these three things, you will want to do more.

  1. Exercise

Starting with as little as 3 1/2 hours per week can start to reduce your blood pressure, (that’s only 30min per day) it’s all about making your heart stronger and better at pumping blood, which lowers the pressure in your arteries. Once you start to build a strong base, the more you can exercise ,the more your blood pressure starts to lower. It’s as simple as taking your dog for a walk or going to the park with your kids. No matter what you do, the goal is to get the blood pumping.Don’t forget to recover properly after vigorous exercise! Stretching and proper nutrition are just as important to help combat high blood pressure.Adding CBD to your favorite recovery workout smoothie is a great way to recover and keep you balanced and ready for the next day.

  2. Healthy food choices

Yes, there’s plenty of articles on diets and changing your entire food intake to lower your blood pressure, but it doesn’t need to be that extreme. Try keeping a bowl of fruit on your counter and choose that when you head to the snack pantry. Simple things like adding healthy fruit and veggies to your daily intake can make a huge difference in lowering your blood pressure. Here are some great choices to start with:

    • Leafy greens
    • Berries
    • Red beets
    • Oatmeal
    • Bananas
    • Unsalted nuts and seeds.

The list is truly endless of things you can eat that may help lower your blood pressure. Remember to eat from the earth and it’s almost certain you’ve made a healthy choice to help lower your blood pressure.

Don’t want to eat just a bowl of veggies or fruit? Try a great tasting smoothie to make it quick and easy. Here is one of my favorites.

    • Hand full of Kale
    • 1 banana
    • 1/2 cucumber
    • 1/4 cup blueberries
    • Your favorite CBD tincture (keeps the day nice and smooth)

This is just my go-to, make whatever smoothie you like as long as you are doing something to consume the things that will help lower your blood pressure.

Remember you don’t have to go on a life altering diet. Make small changes and you’ll be amazed at how it can help reduce your blood pressure and over time who knows maybe you’ll fall in love with making more healthy choices.

  3. Reduce stress

So we all know that all you have to do is close your eyes and think good things and repeat positive affirmations and the stress in your life goes away right? and your blood pressure is back to normal? Well, I’m here to tell you I have recited every positive affirmation ever written and they seem to never work past 30 seconds and it only makes my blood pressure go even higher. The truth is you’re going to have stressful situations in your life sometimes everyday, every week, and if you’re  one of the lucky ones only now and then. The most important part is how you deal with the stress and not let it affect things like your blood pressure. For instance put yourself in timeout! That’s right it’s not just for kids. Go somewhere quiet, if you can find a place that is completely silent that is a huge plus. Take a dose of your favorite CBD and go for a late night walk when everyone else is in for the night, it’s actually a great way to not only get in some exercise but at the same time a great way to calm down after a long stressful day and be alone with your thoughts, both a great way to help lower your blood pressure. Some other things I have done to help lower my blood pressure during stressful times:Laughter–  go to a comedy club, watch a favorite movie that makes you laugh out loud, go to a busy place and people watch, that’s sometimes one of the funniest.

Headphones– drown out noise around you and play some of your favorite music or listen to a funny podcast.

Try a yoga class, a lot of places will give you your first class free.

Say NO. If you learn to say No instead of YES every time someone asks you to do something, you’ll free up a little time for yourself to relax or partake in a favorite hobby, both are great for calming you down and reducing stress.

Fact is, if you’re reading this article you are probably dealing with high blood pressure or the stress that comes with everyday life. These are just a few simple ways to help you get started, and all you have to do in most cases are little changes. You don’t need to change your entire daily routine, but I bet once you get started with these three things, you will want to do more.
